I am a Vancouver-based recent graduate of the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. I am constantly on the hunt for new innovative platforms as an intersection point for business models and markets at the base of the pyramid to contribute to progress (social or economic) in developing countries. For the past four years, I have worked primarily in the finance and business development positions both in Canada and Africa and have developed different frameworks to help expand the social impact of organizations.
My current research interests include:
1) Base of Pyramid Perspective: Understanding the unique dimensions of this section to fully evaluate the impact of market ventures
2) Social Entrepreneurship: Investigating a collaborative approach in innovation, creation and implementation of impact investing and patient capital strategies.
Close second interests include economic political policy, education, women empowerment and dogs. I am an impatient optimist and believe that through compassion, innovation and education, we can be the change in the world.
